What We Collect & Why
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email, password (encrypted), name, date of birth, and location. This helps us provide and secure your account.
Retention: As long as your account is active, plus 90 days after deletion for recovery purposes.
Food & Nutrition Data
This includes food photos, meal logs, calorie intake, macro breakdowns, and dietary preferences. You provide this information to track your nutrition goals.
Retention: While your account is active. Deleted when you request account deletion (30 days processing). Food photos are not stored after upload.
Training & Fitness Data
Workout logs, exercise history, weight, body measurements, and progress photos. This data powers your personalized training programs and progress tracking.
Retention: While your account is active. You can delete specific entries or your entire training history anytime.
Device & Usage Data
We automatically collect device type, app version, crash reports, and how you use Glialis. This helps us improve performance and fix bugs.
Retention: 90 days for crash reports; analytics data is aggregated and retained indefinitely.
Health Integration Data
With your permission, we can sync data from Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, or fitness trackers (step count, heart rate, sleep). You control this via app permissions.
Retention: While your account is active. Synced data is not used for marketing or sold to third parties.
How We Use Your Data
To Provide Glialis
Food detection, personalized nutrition insights, AI-generated training programs, and progress tracking.
To Improve the App
We analyze usage trends and crash data to identify bugs, improve performance, and build new features. All analysis is done on aggregated, anonymized data.
To Support You
We may access your account data to help with technical issues, account recovery, or support requests. Only our support team and you see your personal information.
To Send Important Updates
Account security alerts, service changes, and product updates. You can manage email preferences in your settings anytime.
What We Don't Do
We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not share your food logs, health data, or progress photos with marketing partners. We do not sell or rent your information.
Who We Work With
We use trusted third-party services to deliver Glialis. Here's who we work with and why:
Google Firebase
Cloud infrastructure for app hosting, authentication, and data storage. Firebase is bound by Google's privacy policy.
Analytics Service (Aggregated Data Only)
We track anonymized usage patterns to understand how Glialis is used. Individual user data is never shared with analytics providers.
Payment Processors
App Store and Google Play handle payments. We never see your credit card information.
Customer Support Tools
We use secure support platforms to respond to your questions. Support data is not shared with marketing partners.
We never share health data with advertisers. We never sell your data to data brokers. Third parties are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Access Your Data
Request a copy of all data we hold about you, including your food logs, training data, and account info.
Download Your Data
Export your data in a machine-readable format (CSV, JSON) to use with other apps or keep for your records.
Delete Your Account
Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. Processing takes up to 30 days.
Correct Your Information
Update or fix any inaccurate personal information in your profile or data.
Opt Out of Analytics
Disable tracking and analytics collection in your privacy settings anytime.
Withdraw Consent
Stop any data processing based on your consent at any time without affecting past lawful processing.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Email us at privacy@glialis.com with:
- Your account email or user ID
- The specific right you're exercising (delete, download, access, etc.)
- Proof of identity (government ID or email verification)
We aim to respond within 30 days. Complex requests may take up to 60 days.
How We Protect Your Data

Data Transfers
If you're outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Glialis, you consent to this transfer. We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other legal mechanisms to ensure adequate protection.
Children's Privacy
Glialis is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we discover a child's account, we'll delete it immediately.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we'll notify you via email and post the updated policy here. Your continued use of Glialis means you accept the new policy.
